"Life can throw tough circumstances at us, but while the
challenges you have lived through are a part of your story,
they do not have to define it."
Reaching out for help is an act of courage and of belief in yourself and your own power to heal. You deserve to feel positive about your life, your future, and yourself, and healing and growth are possible. Reaching out to a therapist can feel a little intimidating, but it can be the first step in claiming for yourself the life you want to live.
Since 2013, I have been working with people who have lived through a variety of types of trauma, particularly domestic/dating violence and sexual violence, and I know there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing and growth. As a therapist, my role with you is to provide you with a safe, accepting space for you to explore your story and consider your next steps in your journey. We will work together to identify the therapeutic tools that you prefer and find most effective for the challenges you're facing, from learning coping skills and grounding techniques to help with immediate symptoms of anxiety to exploring deeper work in attachment, identity, and relationships. .
Life can throw tough circumstances at us, but while the challenges you have lived through are a part of your story, they do not have to define it. You can be free of the pain that holds you back. Together, we will create space for you to feel safe to consider how far you've come in life, where you'd like to go, and how you'd like to get there.
