Azin Ghoreyshi,
Professional Counselor Associate, Art Therapy Intern
#R7032

"The spontaneous movement in all of us is toward connection, health, and aliveness. No matter how withdrawn and isolated we have become or how serious the trauma we have experienced, on the deepest level, just as a plant spontaneously moves toward sunlight, there is in each of us an impulse moving toward connection and healing."

I facilitate therapy from a holistic perspective, using a variety of integrative therapeutic approaches, including Art therapy, Mindfulness based cognitive therapy, Somatic therapy, and Narrative therapy. My practice is informed by a systemic, multicultural perspective and a trauma-informed lens. Above all, I believe the most healing aspect of the therapeutic relationship is centered around the act of deep listening and witnessing.

My clinical style is warm and collaborative. My goal as a therapist is to create a gentle, safe space and guide you to bring awareness to your unconscious beliefs and ways of existing in your body that are holding you back from reaching your highest alignment and fullest potential. I believe that we are all already whole. We will work together to peel back the layers of illusion, conditioning, and fear in order to create the space for you to feel safe enough to trust your own inherent wisdom.

We may use Art Therapy as a tool to help externalize emotions, regulate the nervous system, release, and visualize new realities for yourself. I look forward to holding space for you — I welcome anyone who is on their path towards self-exploration, healing and growth.
