Whether you are anxious, overwhelmed or sad; constantly stressed by a relationship; struggling to break free from negative thoughts, self doubt and worry; or feel trapped as the result of a traumatic event or lifelong pattern, together we can discover what is standing in the way of your moving forward. We can identify and begin facing your most challenging problems. You can develop skills and tools, and have the means to begin breaking free of patterns that are making you feel miserable, drained of energy and stuck.
For nearly a decade, I worked extensively with individuals, couples and families in crisis, in outpatient, residential and home based settings, on both the east coast and Portland. I earned a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rhode Island. I am trained in Family Systems Therapy and currently training in Somatic and Attachment EMDR and Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy. My approach is strength based and culturally sensitive.
Some of the areas I treat include relationship and childhood trauma; anxiety and depression; loss and grief; self-esteem; personal growth; life transitions; relationship conflicts; communication.
