Hello and welcome! I’d like to begin by celebrating you in your process of considering therapy in your life. We seek out therapy for many varying reasons and all of them are dynamic and significant. From exploring childhood wounds, to unraveling traumatic experiences, to managing stress and anxiety, to confronting depression, to identity exploration, to navigating complex relationship dynamics, to systemic injustice, to living in a world that can be demanding and overwhelming. Whatever it is that has brought you here is deeply important and absolutely deserves attention. It is my view that it takes a great deal of strength to seek support, and I commend you for making it this far.

As a therapist, it is my goal to help create a foundation of trust and safety. I greatly value the importance of a personal connection and will support you showing up each session just as you are. My approach is compassionate, judgment-free, collaborative, and like your own personal cheerleader. I will help you to understand various therapeutic modalities and identify what feels most appropriate to best serve your needs. I will look to you as knowing what is truly best for yourself. I will listen and move at what pace makes sense for you. I will offer insight and resources. I will offer techniques and guidance. I will validate and challenge you. And I will continue to show up and support you every step of the way.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University. I have been working within the field of social work for over 15 years in varying capacities. As someone trained in social work, I am a systems oriented therapist in that I seek to understand the various contexts of an individual and their struggles. I will hold all of your identities, your history, your family, your communities, your beliefs, and how they all connect together as relevant in our work together. I strive to be person-centered, strengths-focused, trauma-informed, patient, kind, and humble.

I know from experience that choosing a therapist can be a daunting task, and there is only so much that can be learned from a single page bio. If you feel
compelled to learn more about me and whether I could be a good fit for your healing process, please do reach out. Wishing you all the best!
