As a therapist, it is my job to walk alongside you during your healing journey. As a survivor of trauma, myself, I understand first-hand how it feels to be stuck in a cycle of hopelessness and being in a dark place can feel paralyzing. I am here to sit with you and help you strengthen your resiliency to begin your healing process.
I specialize in working with teenagers and adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression. I use a person-first and person-centered
approach to walk alongside with clients in their healing journey. I also use other therapeutic modalities in my practice, as everyone and their needs are unique.
I grew up on the only Native reservation in Alaska and have experience working with people of color, women of color, and LGBTQIA+ in my community. I also have experience working with teenagers and families in a school system. As a graduate school intern, I was able to see how the school environment directly impacts mental health and that helped shape how I view mental health and therapy. I think of mental health as intersectional and incorporate that into my practice by utilizing a holistic approach to healing.
I have a BA in psychology from Fort Lewis College and my Master of Arts in clinical and mental health counseling from George Fox University. I am currently a registered LPC intern in the state of Oregon. This means I have a master’s degree but am currently registered to become a licensed professional counselor and am overseen by a supervisor. I am supervised by Mary Massey, LMFT.
