About Leisha

Leisha Miller is EMDR certified and trained in Brainspotting. Both are researched based practices that help people process experiences in a different way than traditional talk therapy. Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness exercises are frequently part of counseling sessions.

For the past five years, Leisha has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. Her Masters of Science is from Florida International University in Counselor Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Safety first is the type of counseling Leisha strives to offer people. She believes in building a strong professional relationship with clients where trust is slowly developed, which encourages people to take steps toward their goals. Leisha welcomes sharing respectful feedback with one another in order to get the most out of the therapeutic process. The counseling models she uses are trauma informed practices. She believes people have the answer to their own questions. Individuals may just need some support in finding their own answers.

“Sometimes we need to look at the deepest,
most challenging experiences and parts of ourselves
to allow long lasting transformation to empower us.
As we work through the emotions of our intense experiences,
we can heal and grow in tremendous ways.
