Are you waking up another day unsatisfied with life? How often do your days begin and/or end struggling with the same problems? If you're reading this, it is clear that you want change. Most likely, you have already exhausted your resources trying to make change happen, whether once or hundreds of times. Change can feel scary but, feeling stuck or stagnant can be equally terrifying. I am dedicated to showing you ways to quiet your fears and befriend the process of change by encouraging you to take back your power within the oppressive systems you live in, varying struggles you live with, and the identities you carry. You have already taken the first step towards reclaiming your peace of mind by seeking out support. The next steps you no longer have to walk alone.

 

My approach focuses on empowering you as an active agent of change and the sole creator of meaning in your life while also honoring systemic and cultural influences. Together we will explore the constructs of your mind, as well as your relationship to the world, people, and social systems that influence those mental constructs. The clinical modalities offered (though not limited to) are Psychoeducation, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Harm Reduction, Mindfulness & Body-centered approaches. I specialize in racial/cultural identity development and healing, trauma/PTSD, (especially racial & systemic trauma), and gambling addiction treatment. I have additional training and experience treating individuals, couples, and families with co-occurring disorders, complex trauma, and various addictions (both substance and behavioral/process). 

 

Outside of this work, you can find me enjoying our shared humanity by spending quality time with my fur babies, cooking comforting meals from scratch, and nurturing my spirituality through altar work and card readings. My happy place looks like the sun kissing my skin while I have tacos within reach and my cat in my lap.
