Making the choice to go to counseling often feels scary and riddled with unknowns. Perhaps you have recently struggled in a relationship because you felt disconnected, inauthentic, confused, or unable to get your needs met. Perhaps you have recently suffered a devastating loss. Perhaps you are struggling with your identity. Perhaps you have trauma in your past or in your present and don’t know how to move forward. Perhaps the ways in which you cope are no longer serving you. Whether you have recently experienced an event, a transition, or are just looking to gain insight into your own patterns, I welcome you.

My approach to counseling is largely client-centered and strength based. What that means is that I truly believe that each one of my clients has an innate ability to heal and grow and I work collaboratively with them to find that part of themselves.

I have specific training in issues such as intimate partner violence and sexual assault, and have a specific interest in working with LGBTQI+ clients around issues of sexuality and sexual orientation. My intention is to create an authentic, non-judgmental, safe environment in which I can join you on your journey of self-compassion, exploration, and growth.

Specialty areas Include:

  • Depression

  • Domestic Violence

  • LGBTQ+ Issues

  • Personal Growth

"Life can throw tough circumstances at us, but while the

challenges you have lived through are a part of your story,

they do not have to define it."

"When change finally comes it often comes long and slow, it might feel a little less like victory and more like a winding road. So if you start to lose your hope under this blue galveston sky, and you don't know where to run, or if it is safe to even try, remember you were made to fly. Remember you were made to fly, no matter what they say, you are worthy of a life of freedom without having to live afraid."
