Are you a single mom, struggling with balancing the demands of being a parent and a career? Are you looking for support with managing your anxiety and/or depressive symptoms, help with understanding how past trauma is affecting your life or need help with working through relationship issues? If so, I can help. I specialize in helping individuals, couples and families deal with the tension that comes with life transitions, racial fatigue, depression, anxiety, grief/loss and trauma. In our sessions, we will explore who you are; your world, beliefs, and values. Together, we will use this understanding to promote change and growth.
I am committed to honoring culture and providing a therapeutic space to help facilitate open and honest dialogue. I empower individuals, couples and families to heal themselves and cope with the challenges of life. Evidence-based practices that I most commonly use are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Center approach and Trauma-Informed framework.
Culture and spirituality are an integral part of my work. I have developed and facilitated groups specifically for people of color, which integrates spirituality and Afrocentric values. I am passionate about mental health and mental well-being. I look forward to working with you individually, as a couple, or as a family.
