Charlotte Headshot.png

Hello! My name is Charlotte (yes, like the spider), and I am a Professional Counselor Associate registered in the state of Oregon. I use she/her/hers pronouns and am a Pacific Northwest girl, born and raised. I earned my M.A. in Applied Psychology from Pacific University, where I graduated with honors. I work with adults to unlock their full potential, process and heal from trauma, and determine how they can live in line with their values and goals. My approach is driven by the belief that each person is a unique being deserving of support and unconditional positive regard. I see
individuals as experts on themselves, valuing their entire well-being, and I am a firm believer in treating the whole person. By supporting individuals in caring for their emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical health, I aim to empower them to build a life they are proud of and enjoy living.

I employ a tailored combination of Somatic techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing when working with each client. Together, we'll craft a personalized toolkit of coping skills to navigate life's challenges and celebrate its triumphs! I also believe in trauma informed care and cultural competency. This means that I work hard to avoid retraumatization, respect clients’ personal values and culture, and that I create a safe space to discuss anything, including topics that might feel difficult such as suicidal ideation and sexuality. I strongly believe in the therapeutic benefits of nature and animals. Nature has a unique way of fostering healing and balance, so don't be surprised if I encourage you to spend time outdoors, keep a couple house plants, or share a hug with your pets as part of your care! I am also likely to recommend at least one book in our time working together, and no promises that it won’t be fiction, so if reading or audiobooks are a way that you like to learn/be entertained we will likely get along.
