The journey from merely surviving to a life of thriving can be daunting, but not impossible. Even considering counseling takes courage and perseverance. While interning at the Domestic Violence Resource Center, I was a part of people’s journeys out of the fog of isolation, confusion, and hopelessness. I believe therapy to be a collaborative process, tailored towards the client’s needs. I strive to provide a non-judgemental space to foster self-compassion, to empower setting healthy boundaries, to develop empirically based coping skills, and to help create a meaningful life aligned with your values. I can help you find your voice, capitalize on your inner strengths, and reclaim your life’s story from abusers.
As a counselor, I bring lived experiences as a survivor, and have used those experiences to help others, with over 300 hours volunteering on various crisis lines across the U.S., and also later providing individual and group counseling with the Domestic Violence Resource Center. I incorporate Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Narrative Therapy and EMDR when it is appropriate.
Those in my life described me as a blossomed wallflower, and my previous clients have described me as a gentle spirit, insightful, and calming. In my free time, I can often be found with my nose in a book, savoring spicy cuisine, taking piano lessons, and playing Dungeons & Dragons.

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
― Fred Rogers
