Hi there, my name is Jonathan Clarke. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. I work primarily with adults and believe that most people can achieve a state of positive mental health through aspects of mindfulness, wellness, self-discovery and learning about their own strengths, values and resilience. My approach to counseling is client-centered and involves a collaborative process between client and counselor in training. I hope that together we can come up with goals and utilize interventions
that will help you to be successful. Your input and feedback are always valued and helpful to the therapeutic process. Also, my approach to therapy is evidenced based, meaning that I use treatments and interventions with strong research backgrounds.

I received my Masters Degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling from Lewis and Clark College in 2019. I have spent the last 3 years working in community based mental health providing individual therapy to adults with a wide range of mental health challenges. In my free time I enjoy the gift of parenting, writing and performing music, hiking, biking, running, cooking, camping, reading, spending time with family and friends, and aspiring to become a better human being. It’s a work in progress.

Treatment areas I work with include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • DBT/Mindfulness

  • Grief & Loss

  • PTSD

  • Parenting (both single & co)

  • Trauma

  • Personal Growth

  • Addiction

  • Self-esteem

  • Self-efficacy

  • Attachment styles

  • Strength-based work

  • Boundary work
