Hi, I'm Vanessa (they/them), and I am a professional counselor associate in the state of Oregon. My practice centers gender identity and exploration, sexuality, polyamory, and religious trauma. I often work with queer and trans folks navigating difficult family dynamics or working through barriers to accessing gender-affirming care.

I practice within an intersectional framework, seeking to hear and understand your lived experiences. My own lived experience as a queer person and an immigrant influences my practice. I maintain a deep curiosity toward our systems and ways of being, and this leads me to constantly question societal structures that oppress, restrict, and exclude.

We've all developed strategies to survive, and many of these patterns have been with us since childhood. As your therapist, I won't tell you what to do, but I'll walk alongside you on your journey and help you get to know your parts.
Together we'll get curious about your thoughts, emotions, and actions as a way to build compassion and start changing patterns that aren't serving you anymore. I offer a nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self- messiness, sorrow, laughter, and all. I believe we all have the capacity to heal our nervous system, connect with ourselves and others, and lead a meaningful life.
