"Until you make the unconscious conscious,
it will direct your life, and you will call it fate"
- Carl Jung

Hi. My name is Nick Elgin. I provide support for adults in their time of need. My clinical practice operates from a trauma focused perspective, which contends that the difficulties of our past can absolutely be harnessed, to propel us toward the lives we dream to lead. I have also worked as a school based therapist providing individual therapy for adolescents and their families, with a wide variety of difficult traumatic backgrounds. I am currently registered with the state of Oregon as a Clinical Social Work Associate. I graduated from Walla Walla University (2017) with a Masters degree in Social Work .

My philosophy is to stand as your ally, and draw upon your expertise in your own personal story, to assist us in realizing the true future you would be thrilled to lead. Together, we will bolster your innate abilities, your internal strengths, to serve as the new bedrock for positive change.

I have been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which represents the foundation of my clinical practice. With EMDR you are able to proceed at a pace that feels right for you. Whether you prefer to focus initially on learning skills to regulate emotions in distressing moments, or progressing further to address past trauma, we only move to your tempo. My practice also integrates methods from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solutions’ Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Choice Theory.
