Have you ever felt like something in your life is shifting, but you can’t quite put words to it yet?  Maybe you’re in the middle of a transition, carrying the weight of past experiences, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and unsure why.

Hi, I’m Kelsey Acosta (she/her), and I’m really glad you’re here.

Starting therapy can feel daunting. It takes courage, vulnerability, and a willingness to hope that something can feel different. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by change, navigating anxiety or trauma, or holding experiences that still feel heavy, you don’t have to do it alone. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, with warmth, curiosity, and compassion.

I believe healing happens in relationship. My work is grounded in deep respect for cultural identity and lived experience, and I view therapy as a co-created space where you are truly seen, heard, and honored in your full humanity. I’m especially drawn to working with people who are ready to get curious about themselves and the patterns that shape their lives. Together, we slow things down, notice what’s happening beneath the surface, and build greater awareness, authenticity, and connection.

I specialize in working with individuals, particularly adults in the midst of major life transitions who are exploring questions around meaning, connection, and a deeper understanding of themselves. In our work together, we’ll make space to reflect on how your experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself and the world, and gently explore new ways of being that feel more aligned and fulfilling.

My approach integrates relational-cultural therapy, experiential practices, and narrative therapy. I also draw from attachment theory, emotionally focused principles, and existential-humanistic frameworks. I often pay attention to what unfolds between us in the therapy room, using it as a real-time opportunity to notice relational patterns and create insight that can carry into your life outside of therapy.

Earlier in my clinical work, I practiced experiential and nature-based therapy that incorporated animal-assisted support, creative expression, mindfulness, and somatic tools. These experiences continue to inform my work today, especially in helping clients connect with their bodies, emotions, and inner wisdom in meaningful ways.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate and earned my Master’s degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy from Lewis & Clark College. My style is warm, personal, and grounded, with space for humor and honesty. I show up as my authentic self, genuine and human, and I hope that helps you feel safe doing the same.

Outside of the therapy room, I love being outdoors in all its forms, hiking through the Pacific Northwest, lying in the grass with my dog, Maple, exploring new restaurants, and searching for the best sweet treat.

If you’re looking for a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Together, we can create a therapy space that feels safe, intentional, and supportive of real growth.
