Hi. My name is Nick Elgin (He/Him). Are you suffering from physical reactivity from trauma, emotional distress, or anxiety? I am a trained EMDR therapist that can help you reduce or eliminate your symptoms and free you from the distress that interrupts you from living a full life.
My clinical practice operates from a trauma focused perspective, which contends that the difficulties of our past can absolutely be harnessed, to propel us toward the lives we dream to lead. I have also worked as a school based therapist providing individual therapy for adolescents and their families, with a wide variety of difficult traumatic backgrounds. I am currently licensed with the state of Oregon as a Clinical Social Work. I graduated from Walla Walla University (2017) with a Masters degree in Social Work .
My philosophy is to stand as your ally, and draw upon your expertise in your own personal story, to assist us in realizing the true future you would be thrilled to lead. Together, we will bolster your innate abilities, your internal strengths, to serve as the new bedrock for positive change.

In addition to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), my practice also integrates methods from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solutions’ Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Choice Theory.
