All about Chloe

Hello, I’m Chloe (she/her).  I'm here to provide therapy in person in our offices in SE Portland or via teletherapy throughout Oregon.  Thank you for your courage in being here. I seek to create both a soft landing to explore the difficult things that have happened to you, as well as a launchpad for exploring the things you would like to achieve. I’m curious about your background, cultural influences, and anything that is important to you. I hope to build a trusted and collaborative alliance that will support you in gaining the tools to navigate life’s challenges.

I work with individuals, and use an integrative approach to counseling. I mainly incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and Person-Centered Counseling. I also include skills from other modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). My practice is trauma-informed, and I work to adapt my practice to align with your goals, values, and cultural background.

I am committed to working with people from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and identities. Since our worldview is never separate from these identities, I recognize I may not be the right fit for all identity exploration. I am a white, cisgender, queer woman, and view you as the expert in your own identity. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex-positive.

I am a Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Oregon. I have a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from New Mexico State University and have specialty training in EMDR. My professional experience includes working with adults in community mental health and university settings, and facilitating therapy groups in a variety of settings.
